QUITE OFTEN, it can be a real wrench to drive out to see a band, such was the case when I reluctantly checked into The County to see Sour Mash as the last time I visited the venue the place was pretty empty. Which is no good for anyone!
Not that the place was packed this time, reasonably full springs to mind, but the atmosphere was better as opening song Born To Follow by Bon Jovi got the evenin read more.... 23

ORIGIN
THE GROUSE, BRAMPTON,
CHESTERFIELD.
DRAGGING one’s self out into the cold winter air is a big ask, especially when it means leaving behind a nice coal fire. And to be fair, nobody was, but I just had this compulsion to check out Origin, a foursome who cover rock tunes that I was told are slightly different from the main stream.

Little Giants – Live Review
Horse & Groom, Derby
GLANCING DOWN at the vast never-ending set-list that was taped to the stage, I’d serious visions of Little Giants still playing at dawn.
Describing themselves as funky, country, soul and rock and normally a five-some, violinist Melanie Taylor was absent tonight due to holiday commitments, they opened up with the very rarely heard cover W read more....
